Happy Father's Day

It's a drenching rainy one here.

Elyse got her very own baby doll yesterday. She has stuffed animals galore, but no life-like baby. This was not so much a move to help her be a big sister as it was to prevent her from stealing the babies of other little girls at the playground. She has forgotten all about the monkeys, at least for now....

Ron is in the throes of analyzing data, pairing up and weaning voles left and right. He has a renewed energy to get through it all. It seems to have come on suddenly, hmmm....

We are thinking about how different things are this year from last. Ron was on morphine and didn't know his name, Elyse was in full-time day care, oh and we were making daily trips to the dr's office for at least one of them (which meant me leaving work, driving way up the hill to get Ron, driving to the docs, back up the hill, back down to work - minimum of an hour and half!) OK, lets not dwell on it except to be so thankful that things are so much better this year. Oh, and next year at this time will be completely different again!
