Cold, cold, cold

Elyse with tool set and princess slippers:
You would think that with a month off from school and work, I would have had time to update the blog. But, no, I was too busy being lazy, playing with trains and reading about fairies. Ron and I are back to work at SUNY C today. First day back and we are already doing interesting kid-juggling feats.. fortunately, Isaac cooperated by sleeping in his stroller as Ron and I worked with new students.

The weather is big news right now... we have been waking up to -20 to -30! Ron says it makes him feel at home and makes a point of going outside to walk in the cold and snow. At least the days have been bright and sunny, and we know how to manage cold!

We enjoyed a trip to New Hampshire to celebrate Christmas with Ron's family. It was good to get everyone together. We went ice skating a few times and Elyse it getting pretty good. We took a trip to the Wild Center in Tupper Lake - a natural history museum with lots of "please touch" exhibits, it was a good way to spend a cold day.

Now the semesters are underway... one more semester of internship and grad school for me! The internship may lead to something more permanent, guess I will know more this summer.

Elyse is learning the letter S in school. So today, so wore a sweatsuit and slippers to school and ate spaghetti! Isaac is increasingly talking to us in full sentences and commenting on what he sees all around him. Both kids were immensely entertaining at Christmas, but after a while, they sort of thought they were supposed to get new gifts every few days!

So, really nothing too exciting is happening, which is OK too. This is me on Thanksgiving, with my turkey leg hat on... don't you think they should be a required part of every Thanksgiving??
