Get ready....

Things are starting to come together, we might actually get our boxes packed up in time. There is still a lot to do, but the weekend has helped to feel more together. We got new neighbors last night, who want to buy most of the furniture we still have. Now, if we could just find buyers for the file cabinet, high chair and CD racks.... :).

Got together with some friends last night at Steve Springer's house-to-be. It was both a good and a sad visit and Ron and I were both pretty choked up when we left.

Two more days of work, and a going-away party there tomorrow. Movers come on Wednesday, and we hit the road on Thursday. Fortunately, we are only going 100 miles on Thursday so we have the whole day to tie up loose ends in Fairbanks if we need to. Then Ellen and Rob will continue on to Haines with us.

Kids are having a rough time. We are trying to make sure to do something every day so that we can all get out of the house and spend some time just being together and not trying to get stuff packed, and that seems to help. We are lucky to have kids that will find books or things to do for short times where they can entertain themselves. I think we will all be glad to have this phase done and make for the open road.
