Grandma Bessie's Quilts

We finally got Isaac's quilt in the mail - it was mailed before he was born and apparently sat at our post office for two weeks! Here is Elyse's

and here is Isaac's .

Every new great grandchild has to have their own baby quilt (she is up to 15!). Ron stayed home today and we got to have some time together, which is rare for us. One thing we accomplished was to get the quilts up on the wall, as well as one that I had done.

My mom left on Tuesday night, so we have been on our own for a few days. Ron has been going in to work every day and we are managing. Some days are challenging, but for the most part we are adjusting quite well. Elyse is a little lonely at night now that Gram is gone, and she has realized that everyone else sleeps in our room. It has been a challenge to get her to sleep, and if she wakes up at night she wants to sleep with us, or for us to sleep in her room. Isaac is awake more during the day, and starting to act like he recognizes us. He is still sleeping well at night - whew!

We are anxious for it to warm up, so that we can all get outside. Out days are longer than 12 hours now, so it won't be long until we get above freezing. I am really enjoying my time at home, and wish it were longer. See flickr.com for tons of baby pics!
