C'mon spring!
Elyse is continuing to enjoy gymnastics. She has decided she needs to climb up on furniture and do acrobatics all over the house, and has been getting in trouble for climbing. She has been asking about words a lot - what does this say, what does ... spell, so is starting to take an interest in reading. She knows a few words by sight, like "zoo" and is learning more all the time.
Isaac is connecting all kinds of things and making us laugh. One of his latest is a very clear "I don't know" when we ask him questions. He rides along in the car and talks about all he sees "oh, green house", "oh, stop sign", and still gets especially excited to see animals and tractors. He likes all things "boy" - trucks, trains, cars, tractors, diggers, he can even say excavator.
Ron and I are trying to figure out our work schedules for summer. Neither one of us is committed at the moment, but there are a number of opportunities. We hope to find the right combination that still allows us some family fun time. Plus, we do hope to move... so it will continue to be busy. I still make most of my thesis progress at work, am hoping to have the bulk of the work completed by the end of July, but won't be able to defend until the faculty are back in the fall.
