Happy New Year!

We are spending some time hanging out at home - all four of us. Ron is off until classes start on the 21st, and we don't really have anything planned for the next three weeks. It feels a little funny for none of us to have anywhere we have to be! We have gotten lots of the little "to do's" done, and some of the bigger things around the house (today we decided to rearrange the living room). It seems we get a snowstorm every two to three days, so it is a good time to just be at home.

We had a little Christmas party - just a few friends. Ron is perfecting making his own pizza using Elmer, the sourdough starter he has had for almost 8 years.

We did travel for Christmas, spending time with Ron's family in Vermont and New Hampshire. We had a grand gift unwrapping time as all three cousins tore in to presents at once. Isaac only recently figured out about opening presents, and thought that every package was for him to tear apart, hardly looking at what was inside the gift!

This is Elyse playing with some of her new toys, and modeling yet another set of fairy wings (this is a whole Tinkerbell set!)
Isaac got a number of Thomas trains. He likes to get them all going on the tracks at once, and it careful to put each one into his crib before he goes to bed each night. Here he is , surrounded by his trains....
Ron's parents have gone to Florida for the winter. We have gotten used to seeing them often in the last few months, and now the idea of not seeing them for four months seems like a long time!

We spent New Year's Eve vegging on the couch and watching movies. We stayed up past midnight for the first time in probably a couple of years. Isaac even treated us by sleeping to the late hour of 6:15!

Happy New Year to all! Our grand wish is that life is not quite so exciting this coming year! :)
