Thanksgiving

Here we are enjoying our first snow of the season. We got all excited and had to bundle up and go outside as soon as it started. Still get excited for the first snow, you would think it was something new to us. Here are the kids in the first sprinkles....

We made it to Maine and back for Thanksgiving. Once again, kids did great on the trip, except for when we pushed our luck too long or right at the end of the day. It was fun to get together with my family and to see some extended family too.

Whew! November sure had a lot going on with trips and visitors! We are home for a few weeks, planning to do a little more visiting at Christmas. Ron is looking forward to the end of the semester in just two more weeks, he will be glad for the break. Maybe we will finally take care of those stray boxes under the stairs!

Elyse is really getting good at her letters, recognizing them and even trying to write the ones in her name. She still seems to prefer numbers, maybe another math whiz in the making.... Isaac is still in that stage where he continues to amaze us with how many new things he seems to learn in a day or a week. He has quite a few words and can communicate what he wants quite effectively. Since he now knows enough about what he wants, he is getting good at throwing a fit when he doesn't get his way too. I can tell when the yelling in the next room means that they are fighting over a toy, or when one kid is striking the other in the head with said toy. I am getting really good at cutting out paper dolls - it seems we print out a new one just about every day :). I am relishing my time at home - seems like I am always busy, but I do take the opportunity to just play sometimes!
