A walk in the woods

One of the things we always missed about the northeast was having fall with all of the colors. We came around a corner on our way to a hiking trail and found this scene: We found a nice little hike to a waterfall and picked up leaves along the way. The terrain and distance was perfect - Isaac even walked most of the way!

It was in the 50's and threatening to rain - but it was a comfortable day to be outside. I think we found a hike that we will be doing often! We've seen lots of migrating geese, and both kids know when they hear them coming or when they see them in the fields. Also, and albino dear lives nearby:The last couple of days have been in the 70's, so we have to get outside on those days! With just one car, the kids and I stay home a lot - so it's nice that we aren't cooped up inside. Everyone is doing well here. Stay tuned - next up will probably be halloween costumes! :)
